The Road Home Project - On Now until August 2017

Harcourts North Geelong is a collection point for THE ROAD HOME PROJECT Blanket & Hygiene Appeal. This is an initiative by the Barwon South West Homelessness Network to collect and distribute these items to those most in need in our local community. Many people experiencing homelessness are consistently forced to go without essential hygiene products, items we often take for granted. These include:
  • Toothbrushes & Toothpaste
  • Feminine Hygiene products
  • Soap & Shampoo
  • Deodorant
  • Sunscreen
  • Socks
  • Hand Sanitisers
  • Wet wipes
  • Hair Brushes & Combs
  • Tissues (small carry packs)
  • Linen & Blankets

If you would like to donate any of the above, please come and see us. For more information go to: www.theroadhome.net.au

Food Swap

Local organisation Foodskil introduced Corio Bay Food Swaps and there are now 10 swaps held across the region organised by various groups. More are starting all the time, so check the What's On section of your local paper for your nearest swap.

How do they work? They operate on an honour system, so there's no need to haggle. Most Food Swaps are free to attend.

What to bring? Your home grown fruit, vegetables, herbs, seeds, plants, eggs, homemade preserves, cheese, sour dough, seedlings etc.

Nothing to swap?  Excess produce is usually offered for sale after 10.00 am.
